I discovered this piece whilst listening to the radio and thought this would work beautifully for a small bassoon ensemble. Choir works are always challenging to perform for us bassoonists but great for stamina training. This work has a solo voice which sits on top of the rest of the ensemble. We performed from scores, but I have edited the parts so that the ensemble players can read the solo voice, and the solo voice can read the ensemble line.
